Historic Polonia! Tour - Once the crown jewel of Buffalo’s Polish community, the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood was home to the second largest shopping district in Buffalo during the 1940s. Anchored by Sattlers Department store, Kobackers, and of course, the Broadway Market, on this tour you will see Buffalo’s first drive-thru bank, a 1940s department store, wonderful architecture and stop into the world famous Broadway Market.
This tour is primarily based on the book “Nine Nine Eight: The Glory Days of Buffalo Shopping“, written by Naked Buffalo co-founder Mike Rizzo, and a top-selling Buffalo book since 2007!
Just like you don’t have to be Polish to love good kielbasa, you don’t have to be Polish to know and enjoy its rich history.
ONLY One Tour in 2013.
Length: 70 minutes.
Cost: $10.
Meet: Inside Broadway-Market entrance
